At the Board of Mesa County Commissioners' July 15 public hearing, they ratified a letter of support to the Colorado Basin Roundtable for the Clifton Water District's grant application to fund a water storage feasibility study.

This comprehensive 8-week course has equipped participants with a deeper understanding of Mesa County's governance and provided them with an opportunity to engage with county departments and elected officials. It is an excellent opportunity for any Mesa County resident who is interested in learning about and getting involved in local affairs.

Mesa County officials have declared a local disaster emergency to accelerate response efforts and secure additional resources as the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw Fires continue to burn near the town of Gateway.
